Discover Mystical Svaneti

Arrival in Tbilisi. Pick up from the Airport. Transfer to the Hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Tbilisi was Founded by Vakhtang Gorgasali, the Georgian King of Kartli (Iberia) and was made the capital in the 6th century. Here you can visit Metekhi Church — structured on the cliff, overlooking the Mtkvari River. Next, visit the famous Sulfur Baths. In the same district, lift up by cableway to Narikala Fortress which dates to the  4th century, around the time when the city itself was founded. Visit Meidani Square and walk on Shardeni Street with its fashionable, cozy cafes and art galleries. Pass by along the Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica. Finally, the tour takes you to Rustaveli Avenue where attractions such as Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes will draw your attention and provide a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Drive to Mtskheta, UNESCO world heritage site and former capital of Georgia. Visit “Jvari Church” (VI cc.) “Svetitskhoveli Cathedral” (XI cc.) which became a cradle of Christianity in Georgia because the Holy Robe of Jesus Christ was buried here. Drive to Kutaisi and visit the Bagrati Temple and Gelati Monastery (12th c. UNESCO heritage). Kutaisi was the Capital of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis and dates back to the second millennium BC. From the end of 2012, Kutaisi became the Parliament City of Georgia. The new building of Parliament is designed by Spanish architecture Alberto Domingo Kabo. Overnight in Kutaisi.

Drive to Martvili Canyon, have a boat trip in the deep green water of the canyon and enjoy the picturesque views of the waterfalls. Then drive to Mestia in Svaneti region. This is a place for the highest mountains and glaciers and the most abiding and ancient traditions. On the way, we visit Enguri Dam with the height of 271 meters (the highest dam of this type in the world). Overnight in Mestia

Breakfast at the Guesthouse. Walk to the village of Zhabeshi — 1,600 metres above sea level, 15 km. from Mestia. Weather permitting you can see Mt. Ushba (4,710 m). Have a picnic lunch on the way. Dinner and Overnight at a local Guesthouse in Zhabeshi.

Breakfast at the Guesthouse. Walking to the village highand Adishi — 2 040 metres above the sea level. If weather permits us, you can see Mt. Tetnuldi (4,858 m). Have picnic lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at a local Guesthouse in Ushguli.

After Breakfast at the Guesthouse, drive to Mestia by 4×4 cars. After lunch, continue driving to Tskaltubo. Overnight in Tskaltubo

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then drive to Gori. Visit Joseph Stalin Museum here. Afterwards, drive to visit  Uplistsikhe — an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia which dates back to 2nd ML BC. Drive to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi․

Drop off at the Airport for departure.
