Yerevan

Yerevan is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the World. It is famous for its hospitality, warmth and cordiality. City tour around Yerevan is an amazing experience and is very interesting, full of discoveries. A professional guide will show you this city which is turned 2800 years old, in 2018 (Fun Fact: Yerevan is older than Rome). You will visit the most interesting sites of the City and most popular areas of the Armenian capital: all the way from Republic Square to Cascade Complex and Victory Park.

Garni and Geghard are one of the most popular and famous sites that every tourist needs to see when traveling to Armenia. They are located about 30 km northeast from Yerevan. By visiting Garni and Geghard, one can observe two different historical stages of cultural and architectural development of Armenia: from Paganism to Christianity. Moreover, you will enjoy the architectural heritage, nature of the country and have a chance to communicate with locals. Both temples are listed in UNESCO’s cultural heritage of Armenia.

Khor Virap Monastery is fundamental for its historical significance which had a colossal influence in spreading Christianity in Armenia. A professional guide will share with you all the interesting facts about this site. Upon discovering Khor Virap we will drive to Areni village, which is located in Vayots Dzor Marz region. Areni is famous for its vineyards, wineries and everything related to wine. We will attend one of several wineries (Old Bridge) in Areni, conduct an interesting wine testing excursion and will have a delicious lunch with wine. Our next stop is Noravank, a unique Armenian monastery with exclusive architecture and breathtaking scenery and view of the gorge, opening from the monastery.
Overnight in Halidzor (a village near Tatev).
Tour to Tatev Monastery (great architectural hermitage in UNESCO’s cultural heritage of Armenia) via the longest two-way ropeway in the world. Excursion and a tour around the monastery with a professional guide, followed by a hiking tour to Devil’s Bridge, one of the amazing natural and exceptional miracles of the entire Caucasian region. Having explored the canyon, we will visit a local restaurant and have a traditional Armenian lunch.
The next stop is Sevan Lake. Breathtaking and interesting drive to Sevan via Selim Pass. Short stop at Areni village on the way to Sevan. Additional wine excursion to Hin Areni winery with another wine tasting and lunch.

Sevan is more often recognized as the blue Pearl of Armenia. It’s also the largest mountainous lake in the Caucasus region, located on altitude of about 1000 meters above the sea level. Sevan is beautiful and original throughout all seasons of the year. Thus, it is also a good place for a photo session. We will visit Sevanavank Monastery, a historical complex of 9th century.
The next stop is Dilijan (a little Switzerland of northern Armenia). We will visit Haghartsin, one of the most famous and wonderful ancient monasteries of Armenia, also included in UNESCO Architectural Heritage.
Upon discovering all these sites of Armenia, we will move forward to Yenokavan, a small village close to Dilijan. Yenokavan is truly a unique place not only for its beautiful nature, but also well known for its attractions and activities; paragliding, zip lining, horse riding, etc.

Breakfast at the Hotel. Our next destination is Gyumri, Shirak Marz/Region. Gyumri is an original city on the northwest of Armenia. It is famous for its cultural heritage, ancient theater, interesting architecture and as one of the capitals of Armenia in past. We will tour and walk around the city, enjoying an exciting excursion to the beer factory, and apprise stylish restaurants with delicious food.

Breakfast at the Hotel. Visit of Voskevaz winery on the way to Yerevan. A unique and special place, not only for its assortment of wine and tasting activities, but also with its exterior and interior decor. Winery seems to be an isolated town castle, emerging among countryside households. We will conduct a wine excursion, tasting a delicious lunch there.
Overnight in Yerevan.
Armas is another well-known winery with a huge assortment of Armenian wine. Wine tasting and traditional superb lunch will be served for us there.
