The celebration of “Vardavar” among the Armenian nation is considered to be the most beloved holiday in summer. It has deep roots in our history. The key message of the celebration is the adoration of the nature. During pagan era the holiday was dedicated to Astxik – the goddess of love and beauty. She threw away water with roses and inspired people with love. After adoption of Christianity the holiday has gained a religious reputation. When celebrating the fiesta people throw away water to one another as a symbol of prosperity and love.
