Uncover Armenia from a new point and join our unique excursion to Kalavan, Seagull Island, and Noratus.
Kalavan is a little village, located 1600 meters above the sea level at Gegharkunik Province in Armenia. In the nearby region, it has churchyards and stone-century outdoor points. The archeological antiquity Kalavan one is dating 14th millennium and Kalavan two is older more than 34 thousand years.
To visit Kalavan we need to first get to Dprabak Village by bus and then continue our trip with off-road vehicles. This road is the best part of the experience.
After lunch in the forest and round trip in Kalavan, we will be back to the bus in Dprabank and keep going out trip to Sevan Lake. Our next destination will be Seagull Island and we will get there by boat. Island of Seagulls is one the most attractive and less discoverable part of Armenia.
Our next stopover will be at Noratus. It is a central historical village, close to the town Gavar and it became famous because of Noratus cemetery.
For the first time Noratus, as a colony was mentioned in the Dark Ages. And in those times, it was a much bigger settlement. Close to the village is located megalithic fort from bronze-age which shows that Noratus is one of the most populated primeval colony in Armenia.
On the way back to Yerevan, we will stop at the Bashinjaghyan Tea House where we will have a dinner.
