Itinerary

Day 1  Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Group transfer to Netanya/Tel Aviv. Hotel Accommodation. Overnight in Netanya/Tel Aviv

Day 2  Biblical Galilee.

Nazareth is the holy gospel city for Christians. The Church of the Annunciation above the house where the Holy Family lived. Church of the Archangel Gabriel at the Source of the Virgin Mary. Sea of Galilee (Kinneret Lake). Capernaum. Monastery of the Twelve Apostles. Mount of Beatitudes (overview) – the place of the Sermon on the Mount. Tabgha is a place of miracle for the multiplication of bread and fish Yardenit – a place of traditional ablution of pilgrims in the sacred waters of the Jordan River. Tiberias (in transit) is one of the four holy Jewish cities. Overnight in Netanya / Tel Aviv.

Day 3 Shrines of Jerusalem and Bethlehem

Panorama of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Place of the Ascension of the Lord. Jerusalem Old City: Christian Quarter. Way of the Cross Temple of the Holy Sepulcher. Calvary. Jewish Quarter: The Wailing Wall. Cardo Street – the central street of the city since the Roman Empire. Panorama of the Temple Mount: view of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Muslim quarter, the Arab market. Bethlehem. The Church of the Nativity of Christ is one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world. According to tradition, the church was erected over the birthplace of Jesus Christ. The Church of the Nativity is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Overnight in Netanya/Tel Aviv.

Day 4  Jordan

Moving to the border with Jordan. Crossing the border at the Sheikh Hussein Bridge border crossing. Jerash (ancient Gerasa), an ancient Roman-Greek city, in which architectural monuments are still perfectly preserved. The temple complex with fifteen Byzantine churches with mosaics. “The Fountain Yard” is a place where Byzantines celebrated every year the miracle of turning water into wine made by Jesus Christ. Dinner and overnight in Amman.

Day 5  Jordan

A sightseeing tour of Amman, which is often called the “white city”, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Visit the Amman Archaeological Museum. Madaba (“city of mosaics”), where the original mosaic map of the Holy Land and the Middle East is kept in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. The ascent to Mount Nebo is the supposed burial place of the prophet Moses. From here there is a beautiful view of Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight in Amman.

Day 6  Jordan

Excursion to Petra – the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom – a city carved into red rocks. The city is famous for its temples, majestic tombs, ingenious engineering structures. It is assumed that Peter was the last intermediate parking of the three Magi, who carried incense, gold and peace as a gift to baby Jesus in Bethlehem. In the second half, return to Israel. Moving to Tel Aviv.
Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 7  Free day

Free day or an optional tour for extra charge of $15/person, depending on available spots, to Tel Aviv-Jaffa (half-day sightseeing tour, subsidized by the IDC Diamond Exchange). Overnight in Netanya /Tel Aviv.

Day 8  Departure

Group transfer to Ben Gurion Airport.
