Itinerary

Day 1  

Arriving to Tel-Aviv airport, meeting with the guide.

Jaffa – A city of the bible, with picturesque alleyways , where we acknowledge prophet Jonah and Peter at the house of Simon the tanner.

Day 2 

Caesarea Maritima – City built by Herod, where Peter was brought to be taken to Rome, and converted the first gentile, the centurion Cornelius. The Roman aqueduct.
«…Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel» (Kings 1, 18:42). Haifa – A city with rich history on mount Carmel.
«…to the desolate ruins and the deserted towns…» (Ezekiel, 36:4).
A cave on mount Carmel, where prophet Elijah had spanned the night before coming to Muhraka – The place of the battle between prophet Elijah and 400 priests of Ba’al.

Day 3  

Korazin – Ruins of an ancient Jewish village where the antichrist will be arriving first.

Tell Dan – Biblical city, where a golden calf was placed during the time of Jeroboam.
Banias (Caesarea Philippi) – Where Jesus, after questioning his disciples, had given to Peter the keys of heaven and earth (Mathew. 16: 13-20). Mount Bental. The Syrian border.

Day 4   

«Again Jesus began to teach by the lake…» (Mark 4:1). The sea of Gennesaret (Galilee), the shores of which had witnessed the miracles, healings, and the teachings of our lord.
Magdala – A fisherman’s town, where Jesus saved Mary. “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” (John 8:7)
«Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people» (Luke 9:16) Tabkha, the multiplication of the bread and the fish.
Mensa Christi – Where Jesus re-affirmed Peter’s primacy.
«Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them» (Mathew 5:1)
Mount of Beatitudes – The sermon on the mountain.

Day 5  

«Lord says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt…» (Zechariah, 1:16).
Mount of Olives: Panorama of Jerusalem and temple mount. Palm Sunday road, the tombs of prophets Haggai and Malachi.
«Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down» (Mathew 24:2).
Dominus Flevis, a chapel build on the place where the lord had wept over the fate of Jerusalem.
« They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” ». (Mark 14:32). Garden of Gethsemane: The place where Jesus had bagged his father to pass the cup (of sufferings) over him, and was arrested, once marked by Judas with a kiss. There we will visit the famous church of all nations. Mount Zion: «…where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?» (Mark, 14:14).
The Room of the last Supper (Cenaculum), the place where Jesus had the Passover feast and 53 days afterwards the holy spirit descended upon 120 disciples.
King David’s Tomb, the king, warrior, poet, who conquered Jebus and renamed the city to Jerusalem, and wrote the Psalms.
«“Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.». (Mathew 26:34).
The church of Saint Peter in Galicanto– Built on what used to be the house of the high priest Caiaphas, where Jesus was put to trial before the high council and spend his last night as the son of man in prison. There Peter was recognized three times by servants and denied Jesus, just as prophesized.
The Jewish quarter: Roman Cardo and parts of Hezekiah’s city wall
The Wailing Wall – The holiest place for the Jewish people and painful reminder for the temple’s destruction .
Israel Museum – The famous ‘Holy land’ model of Jerusalem during Jesus’s times, and the shrine of the book, where the famous dead sea scrolls are kept.

Day 6  

«Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John» (mathew 3:13)
Qasr El-Yahoud – The place where John had baptized Jesus.
“Sons of light and sons of darkness”: Qumran a site that is recognized with the Essenes, and where the dead sea scrolls had been found.
Masada Fortress and palace built by Herod, where the last zealots fled from the Romans and were besieged by them, the story of their choice to take their own lives and not be slaves to Rome became a symbol of Jewish heroism that radiates unto the state of Israel.
Overnight at Jerusalem.

Day 7  

Temple mount. « Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda» (John 5:2). Pools of Bethesda – The place where Jesus healed the paralyzed man. Crusader church of St Annes.
«He is not here; he has risen…» (Mathew 28:6).
Garden Tomb: Where our lord had been crucified, buried and resurrected.
«After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him» (Mathew 27:31).
The way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) and the church oh holy Sepulcher.
«to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever….» (Isaiah 56:5).
